We started the year with some new smart glasses that immediately caught my attention, not only for their design, but also for the concept behind them: the “soul computer”. In contrast to the Meta glasses, the Pickel 1 are presented as a device designed to remember everything, acting as an extension of your personal memory.

Thanks to its operating system Pickel OS, these goggles not only record, they also understand, organize and contextualize everything you see and hear throughout the day. The promise is ambitious: to turn every daily experience into an accessible, structured and useful memory when you need it.

In terms of design, the Pickel 1 stands out for its aesthetic light, elegant and very discreet. With an approximate weight of 68 grams, The new, more traditional glasses feel closer to a pair of glasses than to a technological gadget. Its battery promises up to 12 hours of use, are part of a high-performance Snapdragon chip, interactive avatars and, something especially relevant in this type of devices, encrypted privacy, ensuring that your memories and data are yours alone.

The overall concept is extremely interesting, especially at a time when artificial intelligence is beginning to integrate more intimately into our daily lives. Now it only remains to wait for feedback from early adopters to understand how this vision translates into actual experience.

The Pickel 1 is now available on its official website in two colors -silver y black- with a price of USD $799. Undoubtedly, a product worth following closely if you are interested in the future of wearables and the relationship between memory, AI and design.
