More and more brands such as Apple, Ray-Ban, Oakley, IKEA, LEGO or Richard Mille have been using the\u00a0<strong>3D and augmented reality<\/strong>\u00a0as resources to enrich the user experience, especially in the context of eCommerce.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We live in an era where access to technology is increasing: more powerful devices, better cameras, advanced sensors and a generation of users much more demanding in how they consume content and digital experiences. Today, it is not enough to show a product with a simple photo; the user expects\u00a0<strong>explore it, understand it and feel it<\/strong>\u00a0before you buy.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this context, the\u00a0<strong>3D and Augmented Reality (AR)<\/strong>\u00a0become key allies in elevating the eCommerce experience, an area that will continue to grow strongly during 2026.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>What does 3D and AR bring to the shopping experience?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main benefit is that the user can go far beyond a simple photograph. There are accessible and scalable solutions such as:<br \/><br \/>\u2013\u00a0<strong>Open source frameworks<\/strong>\u00a0like\u00a0<code><a href=\"https:\/\/modelviewer.dev\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&lt;model-viewer&gt;<\/a><\/code>, which allow 3D visualization and AR to be integrated directly into web and eCommerce projects.<br \/>- Companies such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/goopy.io\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Goopy Technology<\/a>, which offers Web AR solutions and white-label applications for brands that want to make the leap without developing everything from scratch.<br \/>- Platforms such as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/sketchfab.com\/3d-ecommerce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sketchfab<\/a>, which provide complete 3D visualization services for eCommerce, including integration with augmented reality in a simple way.<br \/><br \/>A clear example of this is the Ray-Ban and Oakley websites, where users can\u00a0<strong>try on frames directly on your face<\/strong>\u00a0using AR, achieving a much closer experience to the physical store.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">3D design, augmented reality, and the\u00a0<strong>spatial design<\/strong>\u00a0are no longer \u201cnice to have\u201d. They are skills that every UX Designer should begin to seriously explore.
